SA Weddings in association with Moi Styling, thebeautybulletin.com and L’Avenir presents The Phenomenal Bridal Beauty and Styling Workshop taking place on 28 August, 2010.
We at SA Weddings concur with Christian Dior’s sentiment that "There is no such thing as an ugly woman - there are only the ones that do not know how to make themselves attractive." And this is precisely what we will be teaching you on this special day!
In celebration of Women’s Month, we are giving 20 percent of all the ticket sales to a women’s charity called, ‘Place of Hope’ in Athlone - celebrating women's month in an entirely different way!
The venue, L’Avenir in Stellenbosch, will provide the perfect backdrop to the workshop of the year! With a stage, four experts specializing in bridal make-up and beauty, wine and food samples from the renowned L’Avenir Wine Estate as well as Kleine Marie circulating through the audience, and  a goodie bag to die for, this event is something not to be missed! Spot prizes, ranging from Madame Zingara tickets to a weekend stay at the L’Avenir Lodge, will be won by members of the audience during the course of the event. You will also have the opportunity to mingle with the experts.
The audience will be entertained throughout the day by one of South Africa’s most loved personalities, Vanessa Marawa. As the sometime face of Foschini, Woolworths, Edgars, Neutrogena, American Swiss, Mr Price, Blue Label (SAB) and other retailers, she has also graced the covers of some of our favourite local magazines; True Love, Pace & You.
What makes this workshop so different is the talk show feel we are adding to it. Four brides-to-be will take the stage for their personal make-over, giving the audience a very visual demonstration of artistry at work.
The four lucky ladies will have their hair and make-up styled by Lori Mauerberger from the Beauty Bulletin, and will model the most gorgeous wedding gowns from Elizabeth Stockenstrom. Their ‘wedding day’ will also be styled according to their personalities, skin tones, likes and dislikes by the amazing Moi Styling team! These four women will learn how to apply their make-up, style their hair as well as learn which dress style suits their body shape – all in front of the audience.

Launch of new ladies fashion and styling workshop.

Moi Styling in association with Captive8 launched a new ladies fashion brand in Robertson. Ladies from Robertson and nearby towns were invited to Saratoga fruit estate on the 7th and 8th of May to view the collection and were pleasantly surprised of what they have found.

Not only did they love the Captive8 collection but they also received expert fashion advice from Moi Styling on how to dress according to their figures and skin tones. Some ladies who said that they would only come for fashion advice, walked away with a item or two from Captive8. Accessories like silk scarves, pashminas and jewelry were sold at the workshop to complete their new style. The ladies accessorised their new outfits and was ready for a night out in town!

Captive8's clothing range offers stylish solutions for day and evening wear and celebrate the assets of women's figures, sizes 16-24. You'll find that their signature cut is exceptionally figure flattering, and they've chosen high-quality fabrics that fall beautifully, in teals, magentas, purples  and of course timeless black and charcoal. The Captive8 range is affordable style.

Here are some of the ladies' thoughts about the Moi Styling workshop:

"What a joy!"  by Jacomien Treurnight

"Dankie tog, iets wat pas!" by Brenda Baumgart

"Please come again." by Irene De Wet
