We recently had our weekly window shopping session around the NEW Cape Quarter and came across a very upmarket boutique shop called Scalini (www.scalini.co.za) in Jarvis Street . A friend of ours Stefania Formenti who is an Italian born South African showed us around and told us a little bit more about the brands available at Scalini.
She claims that the shoes available at Scalini are the “Jimmy Choo's” of Italy. Scalini stocks shoes, leather handbags and clothes by selected designers. To name a few including Sergio Rossi, Fratelli Rossetti, Melissa Odabash, Eres swimwear and Penny Black by Max Mara. Every item is handmade and sewn to perfection. This store was a real treat for our feet... :)
Now we have some good news for shoe lovers, Scalini is marking down their shoes by 25% for the J&B Met on Tue 26th and Wed 27th Jan 2011. There will also be a selected few items selling for R500 and R1000! So head down to Scalini and find a pair or two to take home with you.
By the way the theme this year at the J&B Met is “Larger than Life.” This involves tall hats, bling tops and dresses, large accessories and funky shoes! Maybe you should consider dropping by Scalini for a dress and some matching heels from the finest Italian handmade fabric that’s made to last you for life.
